Parks & Recreation

Mission Statement

To improve the quality of life while fostering community spirit and involvement for all current and future citizens of Morgan County by providing a variety of leisure and cultural activities, special events, excellent facilities and services that encourage health, fitness, relaxation, enjoyment, and learning.

Morgan County, Georgia

As a rural and thriving community, Morgan County is concerned about the health and well-being of all its residents, from youngsters to golden-agers. Her citizens have enthusiastically supported an aggressive building campaign in the last decade that has resulted in a new aquatic center, new soccer fields, an extensive athletic complex with baseball and softball fields, a dog park, concession stands, picnic shelters and even a park with a disc golf course and walking/jogging trails.  Many of the facilities may be rented for private use.

Morgan County Parks & Recreation Department Facilities

Being located in rural Georgia has made it possible for Morgan County to acquire large tracts of land, allowing the department to centrally bundle its recreation facilities in close proximity to each other.  Click here for a map of all the facilities and for information about each one.

Parent Information and Orientation

Since 2004 the Morgan County Recreation Advisory Board has mandated the use of the Parent Information and Orientation class before any new participant can register and play.  At least one parent or legal guardian must take the class before a child may be registered.  Please call ahead and register for a class.
