The Board of Commissioners is the governing body for the County. It is comprised of five members, one citizen elected from each of the five districts every four years. The Board makes or approves the majority of all policy within the county. The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners is elected from within the Board, and he presides over all meetings. Meetings are held the first and third Tuesday of every month, with Special Called meetings at other times when necessary. All meetings are open to the public, except for Executive Sessions. The Commissioners are always striving to serve their constituents to the best of their ability, and they welcome citizens’ input and concerns.
