Great American Clean-up a GREAT success!
Last Saturday morning, the young folks from Madison’s Cub Scout Pack 91 and the young men from the Boys and Girls Club of Madison and Morgan County gathered and properly disposed of an 820 pound mountain of litter. Even though this was a big job, our kids were up to the Great American Cleanup challenge in Madison. Afterward, we enjoyed chili dogs and refreshments compliments of the City of Madison and Keep Morgan Beautiful volunteers. A big thank you goes out to all those who helped and participated. The City of Madison, Keep Morgan Beautiful, the Madison Morgan Conservancy and Morgan County salute these fine stewards of the environment for their continued efforts to keep our city as beautiful as it should be. Litterers, could you be a little careful this year? The children in our community should not have to work so hard on a beautiful Saturday morning to keep the world they will inherit from us clean & beautiful.

Madison-Morgan Shred Event is around the corner
Residents will again be able to discard their private documents and sensitive printed information at the Second Madison-Morgan Shred Event, to take place on Earth Day, April 22 from 3 to 6 PM at Madison Town Park. This event is open to residents only, and it is free of charge. CINTAS Document Management Corporation is kindly donating time for this event, which is sponsored by Morgan County, City of Madison, and Keep Morgan Beautiful.
Residents will also have the opportunity to discard small (hand-held) electronics and household paint and pesticides.
Let's celebrate Earth Day by doing something positive for environment!
